Elijah knows the value of hard work. Growing up on a northern Michigan farm, he puts in long hours in the fields. And then even longer hours working on his GED through BACN. When he’s not working on the farm or his studies, he tinkers with an old truck he “adopted”. Elijah is a busy young man with a very bright future.

“I was taught growing up that you always give back,” says Penny. It’s something she’s done all her life. First as a school teacher and now as a BACN volunteer. Now on the BACN Board of Directors, Penny still works in our food pantry, meeting the most basic (and common) need of our Neighbors.
